Led 4 migration teams for the implementation US Senate’s
Enterprise Authentication and Messaging migration, which involved migrating
nearly 200 of such domains to newer platforms. The job scope involved creating
and training the migration teams, ensuring each team’s migrations completed
successfully, being the highest level technical support, and stepping in when an
issue exceeded the team lead’s technical expertise. At the same time, leading my
own team in our migrations, and therefore guaranteeing that the concurrent
multiple migrations completed in the times allotted. Participating in
pre-install, technical, managerial and team meetings, working together with
subordinates, the project coordinator, and all executive managers in ensuring
the project completed within the technical requirements, budget and time
constraints.
Was the Senior Migration specialist for the project in meetings with the SAA,
SAs (Senator System Administrators), as well as acting as the technical
“go-between” for Chief of Staff, (for each Senator) Project Managers, and all
levels of General Dynamics’ Senior Executive Managers with the migration
process. Was active in resolving obstacles, streamlining migration best
practices, documentation, diffusing personnel flare-ups, and insuring their well
being and job placement satisfaction.
Streamlined the “zero touch” ADS server rollout configuration, investigated and
introduced “government level” data wiping, as it was required to be able to
re-use the server media for new server installations. Successfully recovered the
Senate Majority leader’s speeches, using forensic data recovery methods when the
computer hosting the speeches failed.
